Begin by following the legendary trail to Mount Everest as you make your way into the heart of the Himalaya. Through Sherpa villages then off the beaten path to monasteries and tranquil lodges, our route takes us through the shadow of some of the highest mountains on Earth.

AMA DABLAM BASE CAMP TREK

DAY 1   Kathmandu  |  Boutique Lodging in heart of ancient city

Airport pickup – Transport to boutique B&B – Welcome Dinner – Orientation


DAY 2   Kathmandu  |  Temples and Palaces of Ancient Kathmandu

Walking tour of hidden backstreets and iconic landmarks of Kathmandu.


DAY 3   Lukla – Phakding  |  Himalayan Tea-house Trekking

Morning flight to Lukla. Trek to Phakding (3.5-4 hrs)


DAY 4  Monjo  | Trek to Monjo (3.5-4 hrs)

Follow a local’s footpath through hidden hamlets. Visit the Gumila Monastery.


DAY 5   Namche  |  High-end Tea-House with amazing Himalayan views

Trek to Namche (4-4.5 hrs)


DAY 6   Namche  |  Day hike to Sherpa Villages

Follow the path less traveled through yak pastures and Sherpa villages, all in the shadow of the sacred mountain – Khumbu Yul La.


DAY 7   Mende  | Trek to Mende (4 hrs)

Leave the main trail to Everest Base Camp and go where few tourists do. Climb a quiet trail to remote Mende. Share the view with yaks and the nuns in the nearby nunnery.


DAY 8   Thame – Mende  | Day hike to Thame

Follow the old salt trade route from Tibet to quiet Thame. Unspoiled views of glaciers and peaks.


DAY 9  Tashinga  |  Trek to Tashinga (4-5 hrs)


DAY 10  Pangboche  | Trek to Pangboche (6.5 hrs)

Visit the famous Tengboche Monastery and soak up stunning views of Amma Dablam and Mount Everest.


DAY 11  Ama Dablam Base Camp  |  Day Hike to 15,500ft

The highpoint of our journey. An amazing ascent up open ridges to Ama Dablam Base Camp.


DAY 12   Kathmandu  | Helicopter flight to Kathmandu – Transport to hotel

Option to circumambulate the iconic Bouddhanath Stupa with pilgrims from all corners of the earth.


DAY 13  Kathmandu  |  Sightseeing / Shopping.

Free day for rest, shopping, or to explore around Bouddha Stupa


DAY 14  Departure  |  Last minute shopping. Departure.
